Vulcan Village's geographic location provides numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation, cultural activities, shopping, visits to heritage areas, and much more. Regular bus service is available to the lower campus through the Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority (MMVTA).
Vulcan Village's location offers easy access to the Pittsburgh metropolitan area and its many cultural attractions and sporting events. The Student Activities Board sponsors trips to downtown Pittsburgh, only 35 miles north of campus, throughout the year.
